Saturday Series: Makers Studio (Ages 8+)

In this 3-week sculpture series, young artists will design and build a whimsical animal head using papier-mâché techniques. Students will learn how to construct a sculptural base, shape facial features, and add texture before finishing their piece with layers acrylic painting.

Artists will see examples of many different animals and may choose to use an inspiration or design their own. Teacher will assist in creation and design. Each session builds on the previous one, giving students time to carefully construct, dry, refine, and decorate their piece. By the end of the series, every artist will take home a one-of-a-kind animal head sculpture ready to hang and proudly display.

This class introduces students to foundational sculpture techniques while encouraging creativity and personal expression.

Ages: 8+

Duration: 3 Saturdays (June 20th, June 27th, July 4th) @ 1:30PM-3:00PM

Students may bring a water and small snack (must be NUT-FREE)

Please dress in appropriate clothing because art can be messy!

Cancellations made 14+ days before camp will receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. Within 7-13 days, art class credit will be issued. Less than 7 days before camp is non-refundable.

By registering for camp, families agree that campers will follow studio guidelines and use materials safely. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in early pick-up.
